Doris Helton, 87, Webster City, went into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved and adored on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church Doris LaFon Graves, daughter of James and Doris Helene Fetty Graves, was born November 8, 1930 in Davis City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1948. On Oct. 30, 1948, she married Francis Dean Helton at Leon. She raised her nine children and then worked for White Consolidated for 27 years before retiring. grandchildren; brother, Max (Janet) Graves of Marshalltown; son-in-law, Larry Abbas of Duncombe and many extended family. I n addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; daughter, Doris Abbas; sisters, Frances Olsen, Loudene Arnold and Dixie Ralston; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Weiner. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. She was very active in the church, serving on the flower and social committees and the Ladies Missionary Fellowship. Doris enjoyed being a part of the coffee crew at Hy Vee and Wednesdays at McDonalds.
