It is with great sadness that the family of William Joseph Burger, of Fort Collins, Colorado, age 62, announce his sudden death and passing from cardiac arrest on Dec. 23, 2017.

Known as Joe, to all who knew him, he was born to Dorothy and Bill Burger on Aug 11, 1955 in Jasper, Indiana. He resided in Ireland, Indiana until 1971, when he moved to Frisco, Colorado with his family.

He graduated from Summit County High School in 1973 and then studied engineering at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins.

Joe loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially, cheering on the Denver Broncos and spending time at the family ranch north of Ft. Collins. He worked for many years in Ft. Collins in the family owned business, Country Clean Dry Cleaners. He loved working with customers and making deliveries.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Scott Alan Burger and John Scott Burger and his father, Bill Burger.

Collins, CO, seven sisters Jane (John) Johnson, Leaburg, Oregon; Anne Rawe, Tillamook, Oregon; Donna Burger, Ft. Collins, CO; Marilyn Burger, Clay Center, KS; Phyllis (Kent) Bachus, Salt Lake City, Utah; Jacqueline (Richard), Shakopee, MN; Lisa (Mark) Frank, Highlands Ranch, CO. In addition, he is survived by 23 nieces and nephews and 26 great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Collins, with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Fort Collins.
