Robert "Bud" Lee Workman, 80, of Greeley, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born on July 7, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to Alva and Thelma (Higby) Workman. Bud graduated from Platte Valley Academy in Shelton, Nebraska in 1956 and Union College in Lincoln, Nebraks in 1958. He married Berneita Miner in 1958. The family moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1963. In 1994, he married Judith Wells and moved to Northglenn, Colorado. Bud is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Paul Workman of Coconut Creek, Florida and Terry Workman of Greeley; sister, Beverly (Ron) McNeal of Ralston, Nebraska; step-daughter, Lisa Lund of Tooele, Utah; grandchildren, Tonia (Patrick) McCann of Nebraska, Preston Workman of Nebraska, Alisha (Art) Acosta of Oklahoma and Tyler (Samantha) Workman of Colorado; step-grandchildren, Justin Martin of Nevada and Christopher Martin of Utah; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Randy.

Bud so loved his family and many friends and was loved in return. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, was fun-loving, a hard worker, was a carpenter and construction supervisor by trade, and helped to build many high rises. For a number of years Bud and first wife, Berneita, operated a board and care home in Greeley. Bud loved and was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He enjoyed helping others in any way possible and especially enjoyed short-term mission trips to build homes, churches, hospitals and schools in the U.S. and other countries and in 1981-1982 spent a year building hospitals and clinics in the Marshall Islands. After retirement, in 2004, Bud and Judy moved to Greeley where he could work with his son Terry on the farm and he also worked a few years at the Corner Store in La Salle.

A memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Greeley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1002 21st Avenue, Greeley.
