Mary Marchinsky Oleksik

Mary Marchinsky Oleksik, 97, of Indianapolis, departed this life Saturday, December 23, 2017. Mary was born December 14, 1920 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to the late Frank and Helen (Dzuka) Marchinsky. Mary was a kind and gentle soul who was dedicated to her faith and family. She was resilient to challenges and always carried a positive attitude. She provided inspiration and careful diligence to family and all of her undertakings. Mary was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Indianapolis, and formerly of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Merrillville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Oleksik Jr. Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Carol (husband Dr. K. Donald Shelbourne) and Jean (husband Jeff Pole); her devoted grandchildren, Erin (Brian Miller), John (Paige Shelbourne), Brian (Katie Shelbourne) and Geoff and Nick Pole; her dear great-grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew, Adam and Molly Miller, and Porter and Eleanor Shelbourne as well as a host of caring friends at Marquette Manor.
