Kurt Walker, age 66 of Boone, died January 2, 2018 at his home. Per his wishes, Kurt has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, at Sixth and Marshall at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Janell Bloem officiating. Burial of his cremains will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date. Kurt Douglas Walker, was born in Boone, Iowa on October 19, 1951, the son of Theodore "Ted" and Bonnie (Price) Walker. He graduated from Boone High School in 1969. He enlisted in the United State Air Force in 1970, and served during the Vietnam War. He was an Accountant and reached the rank of Master Sargent. During his service he received the Bronze Star. Kurt was honorably discharged in 1991. Kurt loved movies and books and enjoyed playing Strat O'Matic. Most of all, he loved to spoil his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
