Sandy Lancaster, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., received a call January 8, 2018--the kind you don't refuse--for an appointment that will last an eternity. The offer promises a reunion with family and friends she had missed dearly. Her new venture brings her to a beautiful place where she will be slow-dancing with Alan, having Bloody Marys and Kroll's burgers with Mom, reading mystery novels along the shore of a tranquil lake, watching football every Sunday (with no interruptions), and cooking up a storm in a kitchen made in Heaven. bergen, aunt and uncle Gloria and Don Thiry, and grandparents Irene and Norman Liesch. Sandy was born September 11, 1950 in Green Bay, Wis. Shortly after graduating from De Pere High School in 1968, she moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she attended Prospect Hall School of Business. She met and married the love of her life, Alan Lancaster, and they had their beloved son, Ryan. Sandy worked for 35 years at State Farm Insurance, a job she loved thanks to long-time co-conspirators Chuck Forum and Lisa Drake. All who knew her will remember her love of family, unforgettable laugh, quick wit, sharp humor, and deep compassion. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale 33316.
