Mary Alice McCann, 91, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Marshalltown. The Main St. Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes, in Marshalltown has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com Mary Alice was born July 24, 1922 in Marshalltown to Earl and Mary (Jordan) Beach. She graduated from Zearing High School. After WWII Mary Alice met the love of her life, Pacific War Hero Donald McCann, they were united in marriage February 25, 1946. He died July 9, 1957. She was employed with the Iowa Veterans Home, in Marshalltown as a Medical Transcriptionist. Mary Alice was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
