Raymond Duffy, 71, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street, Marshalltown. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street, Marshalltown. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. A light dinner will follow at Liberty Baptist Church in Marshalltown. Memorials made be directed to Liberty Baptist Church or Iowa River Hospice. He graduated from Union-Whitten High School in 1960 and then attended Marshalltown Community College. Raymond was united in marriage to Evelyn Bacon on October 18, 1963 in Marshalltown and they were blessed with four children. Raymond worked at Fisher Controls for 39 years. Marshalltown. He was a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan and loved fishing. Raymond loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, but most importantly to him was his love for God, that exceeded all else. Raymond will be missed by his mother, Grace Duffy of Marshalltown, wife, Evelyn Duffy; his four children: Rochelle Duffy of Centerville, IA, Jeffrey (Sherrill) Duffy of Yarmouth, IA, Robert (Lisa) Duffy of Ankeny, IA and Alyson (Matthew) Bennett of Ankeny, IA, eleven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and two brothers, David Duffy of Marshalltown and Dennis Duffy. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and a nephew, Michael Duffy.
