Assisted living 3 years ago. There she was fortunate to have both former clients of the beauty salon and acquaintances from the community as fellow residents to share meals and Bingo. Prior to moving to Sunnybrook Marian was active in Golden Oldies where she and her sister in law, Marjorie Kurtz, would compete for the prizes and then enjoy a nice meal. On the days that there were no Golden Oldies they would enjoy each other's company and go to lunch. Marjorie was Marian's best friend.
Marian is survived by her son John and daughter Janet who both reside in the Pacific Northwest. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marion will be missed by those that knew her and those closest to her rejoice in knowing that she is now in the arms of the love of her life.
The funeral services for Mrs. Sorensen will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19th at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. David Mixon will officiate. Interment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18th at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.
