Leland H. Bierbaum. 91 of Rochester died on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Shorewood Assisted Living . Funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Friday January 19, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester. The visitation will be and hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Leland Henry Bierbaum was born July 5, 1926 in Rochester, Minnesota to Frank and Lydia (Koch) Bierbaum. He graduated from Eyota High school and later attended Winona Business College. Leland worked at Dison Cleaners in Rochester as a bookkeeper for over sixty three years. He was united in marriage to Irene Bruemmer on June 9, 1957, and the couple lived in Rochester. He was a member of Christ united Methodist Church. Leland enjoyed writing and composing poetry. Leland is survived by nieces and nephews, Russell (Becky) Bierbaum of Mahtomedi, MN., Donald (Deborah) Bierbaum of Tonka Bay, MN., Nancy (Gene) Boettcher of Eyota, MN., Mary (Kevin) Smith of Eyota, MN., Brenda (Scott) Kurtti of Oshkosh, WI., and Kenneth (KayAnn) Bierbaum of Rochester; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
