Marie Lee Mason, born June 5, 1927, deceased January 26, 2018. She was a loving and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and wife. In her career as a secretary, Mrs. Mason was employed by Jones-Robertson, Inc., Chrysler Corporation at Redstone Arsenal, TVA and AEDC. She was fiercely independent and encouraged her daughters to be independent too. Mrs. Mason was a wonderful cook and loved to host large family gatherings. She loved to drive and to go on drives, to take her daughters "shopping til they dropped", and to travel. Mrs. Mason had a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers. She loved Christmas and decorating for Christmas. Mrs. Mason was unfailingly generous to those she loved. She had character and spunk right up until the end of her days on this earth. Mrs. Mason is predeceased by her father, Marion J. Lee, her mother, Minnie Fuller Lee, her siblings Helen, Robert, Jack, Virginia, and Jewel, her husbands James E. Robertson and Albert T. Mason, Jr., and her daughter Pamela Gail Robertson. ertson Crockett (Jack) of Clarksburg MD, her sister Grace Lee Taylor and her brother Donald F. Lee, her grandchildren: Chris Vaughn (Tiffany), Beth Smith Thompson (Chris), Julie Vaughn, Emily Smith McGill (Brant), Laura Smith Oppenheimer (Harris), and Audrey Crockett; her great grandchildren: Maggie Vaughn, Nathan Thompson, Allie Vaughn, Scotty Thompson, Will Thompson, Harris Oppenheimer, Grace Thompson, Woods McGill, Frank McGill, and Bess Oppenheimer. Her passing leaves a large hole in each of our hearts. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 10:00am - 11:00am from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 11:00am with Pastor Chris Nolan.
