Kathleen "Jackie" Cofer
Kathleen "Jackie" Cofer age 61, of Decherd, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 27, 2018 at her residence. Jackie was born on February 29, 1956 in Winchester, Tennessee to Eileen Loutzenheiser Stewart and the late James N. Stewart. Jackie is a 1974 class graduate of Franklin County High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Jackie met the love of her life and in 1976 she married Dennis Cofer. She worked for TBE as a driver and in her spare time enjoyed cooking, making crafts, sewing all kinds of items for her family and friends, and gardening when she could. Jackie was always looking forward to a vacation at the beach with her family and spending quality time with her grandkids. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Decherd First Baptist Church. In addition to her father Jackie is preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Stewart and John Stewart. Jackie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation for Jackie will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 5:00pm - 8:00 pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Garner Cemetery with Tim Cofer, Matt Cofer, Kyle Woodall, Steven Hagar, Greg Gipson, Kelly Gipson, Kelly Gass and Joseph Cate all serving as pallbearers.
