Patty A. Reid

Patty Reid Galesburg-Patty Reid, 73, formerly of Ellisville, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born on September 18, 1944, in Canton to Bobby and Betty (Mahr) Bowen. They preceded her in death along with one son Ryan Eugene Reid. She married Charles "Gene" Reid on May 29, 1970, in Ellisville. Surviving are three children, Shawn (Lisa) Reid of Avon, Chad Reid of Galesburg, Trevor (Dana) Reid of Galesburg, two brothers, Rick (Betsy) Bowen of Muskego, WI, Gary Bowen of Collinsville, IL and three grandchildren Megan, Aden and Owen Reid. Patty worked as a beautician from her home in Ellisville for 42 years. She also worked at Farm King, K-Mart, the WARECO Gas Station in Avon and was a member of the American Legion Post #644 Women's Auxiliary. She was a member of the Wiley Lutheran Church where she was the church organist. She also enjoyed Bingo, sewing crocheting and was an avid Cardinal fan.. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 1-4 pm, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a funeral service to follow at 4 pm.
