John L. Connolly, Sr.

John L. Connolly, Sr., age 90, of Blue Bell, formerly of Fort Washington and Avalon, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018. John was a quiet and reserved gentleman and never criticized or said a mean word about anyone. He graduated from LaSalle University and worked as a C.P.A. for over fifty years. John is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Sommer Connolly, to whom he was married for sixty-seven years. He was a proud and loving father to John, Jr. (Christine), Eileen (Linda Nixon), Michael, Gerry, Sheila McGlone (Jim), Paul (Priscilla), and the late Mary Kay; dear grandfather of Neil Connolly (deceased), Kate Connolly, Steven Connolly, Sarah Connolly, Gerard Connolly, James McGlone, Patrick McGlone, Shannon Connolly, Tara Durkot, Dan Connolly and great-grandfather of Atlas Durkot. He is also survived by his sister in law, Kate Frye. Relatives and friends are invited to John's Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00AM at Saint Helena Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA., with a visitation prior to Mass from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
