Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey May Matthews, age 62, of Gainesboro will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in the Okolona Cemetery in Rickman. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Matthews passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at her home. She was born November 27, 1953 in Cumberland County to the late Elmer and Fannie Bell Boles Matthews. She was a housewife. She was Baptist in faith. She enjoyed keeping up her yard and her quilting. She is survived by a daughter, Candy Lynn Matthews of Gainesboro; 5 brothers, Sam and Hugh Roy Matthews both of Gainesboro, Horace Matthews of Livingston, Lee Matthews of Jamestown, and Lawrence Matthews of Crossville; 3 sisters, Ruby Sherrill of Crab Orchard, TN and Nancy Pugh & Mary Matthews both of Gainesboro; along with several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Homie Gurrero, brothers: Owen C. and Everett R. Matthews, and a sister: Etta Smith.[more]
