Funeral services for Mr. William A. "Bill" Roop, Sr., age 80, of the Ozone Community in Monroe will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Joe Lee and Bro. Robert Kitchen officiating. Burial will be in the Roop Family Cemeterey in Monroe, TN where there will be a military service provided by the Honor Guard from the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Mr. Roop passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born July 29, 1936 in Jonesville, VA to the late Houston & Mary Ella Warner Roop. He was a residential building contractor and veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved his family and spending time with them. He also loved farming, raising animals, telling stories, and watching all sports.
