Betty Ruth Arney

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ruth Arney, age 81, of Monroe will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Thursday evening, January 19, from 6 until 9 p.m. Mrs. Arney passed from this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Signature Health Care Center in Algood, TN. She was born in Overton County on January 18, 1935 to the late Homer Forest and Margie Grimsley Huffer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Monroe Christian Church. She loved being with her family, cooking and baking, Church functions, and family get togethers. Mrs. Arney is survived by her son Robert Arney of Monroe, TN.; Daughter Shirley Morreale and Bob of Cookeville, TN.; Grandchildren Rebecca Cruise of Hendersonville, TN., and Eric Lindsay of Kingston, TN.; Brothers, Freddy Huffer and Carolyn of Monroe, Tn.; Sisters, Freida Lancaster and Charles of Livingston, TN., and Olene Carr of Monroe, TN.; 2 Great grandchildren, Victor Cruise and Madeline Cruise also survive.
