Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Smith Kennedy, age 90, of the Heard Ridge Community in Monroe will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. James McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in the Sells Cemetery in the Ozone Community. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. & on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Mrs. Ruth passed from this life on Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2017 from the Overton County Health & Rehab Center in Livingston. Ruth was born in Pickett County on April 10, 1927 to the late Arnold & Agnes Sells Smith. She worked for many years at Hutchinson in Livingston. Mrs. Ruth loved and enjoyed her family and cooking for them. She loved gardening and her church family at Antioch Church of Christ where she was a member.
