MADISON/SUN PRAIRIE/COTTAGE GROVE- Patricia Louise Kubly, age 89, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on February 15, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of John Dunn and Olive (Dahl) Dunn. She married Samuel Werner Kubly on October 12, 1946, at St. Bernard's Catholic Rectory in Madison. Patricia graduated from Madison East High School in 1945. She worked as an office manager and book keeper at Hydrite Chemical Co. in Cottage Grove for many years. She also worked as the business office manager for many years at the Willows Nursing Home in Sun Prairie. Most importantly, Sam and Pat raised 17 children together. She enjoyed reading mysteries, gardening, fishing, playing cards with family and walking on the beach. In her younger years she also enjoyed dancing. Pat always put others before herself. She was a wonderful mother, and amazing grandmother. She was strong, independent and positive until the end. We will keep her lovingly in our hearts forever. n Finken, Patti (Robert) Brown, and Pamela Kubly; two sons, William (Mary) Kubly and Dennis (Taffee) Kubly; sister, Mary Dunn; brother, Leonard Dunn; two daughters-in-law, Carmen Kubly and Geri Kubly; son-in-law, Rick Suchomel; thirty grandchildren; and more than 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Olive Dunn; husband, Samuel Kubly; three sons, Thomas Kubly, Jeffery Kubly, and Michael Kubly; and daughter, Debora Suchomel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of mass on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
