Lakisha Quintel Owens

Lakisha Quintel "Kisha" Owens, age 40, of Waterloo, was found Friday, January 26, 2018, the victim of a homicide. She was born June 1, 1977 in Waterloo, the daughter of Frederick Burnside and Peggy "Cookie" Owens. Kisha graduated from West High in 1995 and continued her education at Hawkeye Community College receiving a Medical Administration and Medical Secretary degree. Kisha most recently worked as a customer experience representative at Grainger. She was formerly a heart monitor technician at UnityPoint Allen Hospital. She accepted Christ at an early age on March 20, 1983 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She later became a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. Kisha was very hardworking and enjoyed reading. She loved fashion and jewelry and had a special place in her heart for children. Kisha's family and friends were very important in her life.
