July 22, 1953 - January 25, 2018 Jeffrey David Cox at age 64 lost his battle to cancer and peacefully passed in his sleep on January 25th 2018.  He was born on July 22, 1953 to Stanley and Doris Cox (Schmidt) in Atlantic Iowa. Jeff has lived in Loveland Colorado since 1980 and worked at a carpet installer for over 20 years until he retired. Jeff was also a passionate runner since his teen years. He participated in many local races throughout his life, including the Boulder-Boulder and even continued to run regularly after having a hip replacement surgery. Jeff will also be remembered for his musical talents. He wrote his own music and songs; he loved to play the guitar and sing these songs for family and friends. He was a devoted husband to Carol Genser-Cox for over 40 years, father of two daughters, Michelle Jones and Stephanie Cox and a playful, silly, fun and loving grandfather to three grandchildren, Kaila, Javen and James. He is also survived by his two sisters Julie Laumer of New Braunfels, Texas and Jill Kirkman of Lawrence, Kansas, two nieces and two nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
