Joyce Meyer-Feller
Joyce Meyer-Feller, of Antigo, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 80 years old. She was born on February 2, 1930 in Shawano a daughter of Walter and Ellen (Paugel) Leiskau. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1947, and attended North Central Technical College in Antigo. She married Francis Meyer on Sept. 27, 1947. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1972. She later married Raymond Feller on Sept. 29, 1990. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2003. She worked as a secretary at Bruce Publishing in Milwaukee for a year then at the Langlade County Welfare Department for several years until she began raising her family. She and her husband Francis operated a dairy farm in the town of Rolling for 25 years. She worked as a waitress at the Wigwam Ballroom, Rudy's Uptown Cafe, Club 77 and the Cutlass Motor Lodge. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She enjoyed snowmobiling, knitting and reading . ) Meyer, Deerbrook; a step daughter, MaryLou Feller, Madison; two step sons, Bill (Kathy) Feller, Appleton and Bob (Ellen) Feller, Manitowoc; a sister, Merlene Harp, Kenosha; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Allison Hotchkiss, a step daughter Jackie Henning, a sister Janette Meyer and a brother in infancy. The funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. on Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
