Robert Peter Casperson
MCFARLAND-Robert Peter Caspersen, age 99, of McFarland, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Waunakee Manor. He was born on Dec. 9, 1918, in Madison, the son of Peter and Clara (Flugum) Caspersen. Robert was a 1936 graduate of Madison High School and a graduate of UW-Madison. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946. Robert was united in marriage to Zelma Peck on August 26, 1939. He was the owner and operator of Caspersen Machining for 65 years, and a member of American Legion Post No. 534 in McFarland and Bethel Lutheran Church. Robert is survived by his son, Michael Caspersen; grandsons, Robert (Jenny) Caspersen, Michael Caspersen (special friend, Amy) and Jack Caspersen; granddaughters, Mary (Pat) Toner and Amanda LoCascio; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Danny, Kyan and Aleyna; sister-in-law, Dorothy Sisto; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
