Michael R. Bennet, 62, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at his home in Ankeny, Iowa.
Mike was born October 19, 1956 the son of Paul Bennet and Margie Wares. He grew up in Pleasantville, Iowa and later married Janet Wallace and continued to raise his family there. They had two children, Brandon and Tabitha.
Mike spent his later years in Ankeny working at John Deere and then as a handyman. He loved riding his bike around town, visiting friends. He loved his family and was a proud grandfather. He loved having a good time and he was a good man with a kind heart.
He is survived by his children, Brandon (Samantha) Bennett of Sardis, TN and Tabitha Bennett of Des Moines; two granddaughters, Ellory and Ansley; brothers, Rick (Sandy) Bennett of Pleasantville and Randy (Corrine) Bennett of Knoxville; sister, Lori (Marty) Gillard of Des Moines and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Bennett and Margie Wares.
