John P. Flanagan, age 47, of Toms River died on Friday, February 16, 2018. Born in Bronx, NY, he grew up in Hasbrouck Heights and lived Hackensack before moving to Toms River in 2001.
John was a Graphic Arts Layout Tech for several printing companies, most recently at GS Printing in Carlstadt. He also worked in security for several years. He was an avid fisherman and Washington Redskins and New York Yankees fan, and loved being at the beach.
Predeceased by his father Joseph in 2000 and his mother Isabella in 2017, he is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Kaitlin; his sister, Patty Bischoff and her husband Mike of Manahawkin; his nephews Nathaniel and Kellen; his niece Raegan; and his Aunt Patricia Fitzgerald of Bronx, NY and Aunt Veronica and Uncle George Heppel of Wayne, NJ.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2-4pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, please consider Memorial Contributions to St. Jude's Chikdren's Research Hospital.
