Wayne Howard Saunders, Sr.

Wayne Howard Saunders, Sr., 64, of Keokuk, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at his home. Wayne was born on August 3, 1953, in Maquoketa, IA, to Raymond and Mildred Saunders. On November 5, 1993, he married Judy Ann Young, in Keokuk. She preceded him in death on August 31, 2015. Wayne worked for the Keokuk Animal Shelter. He enjoyed using and repairing electronic equipment, and fixing different things. He loved science and history, as well as fishing, and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and enjoyed interacting with people, and talking about any subject. He was a non-judgmental person who was loved by many. Wayne is survived by; six children, Christina Davison, Candy Hobb, Lynn Cummings, Beverly Saunders, Cassandra Eastman, and Elleena Saunders; two sisters, Donna Garthwaite and Connie Gooding; two brothers, Gerald Saunders and Darrel Saunders; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, his parents, two sons, Eric Saunders and Wayne Saunders, Jr., as well as many other loved ones. There will be no services at this time. [more]
