John Chasky Chasky

John Chasky Jr was born on February 20, 1927 to John and Elizabeth (Jawarski) Chasky Sr in Waterloo, Iowa. John graduated from East High School in 1945. He enlisted in the Army on July 11, 1946 and served for two years before his honorable discharge in January of 1948. He married Gloria Maurer on September 19, 1954 and the two spent 53 wonderful years together. John worked as a spot welder for the majority of his life. He was employed with Titus Manufacturing and retired from John Deere in 1987. John enjoyed walking and collecting keepsakes. He also spent time fishing and playing with his family's dog Oakley. He was a faithful member and deacon of Grace Reformed Church in Waterloo. John Chasky loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them. John Chasky Jr died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home surrounded by his family at the age of 91.
