Jane Greiner, 98, of Garwin, IA, passed away Wednesday February 28, 2018, at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook, IA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, IA. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Anderson Funeral Homes has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com. Jane was born August 5, 1919, to Albert W. and Hannah M. (Green) Adams in Waterloo, IA. She graduated from Eldora High School. Jane received her nursing degree from Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Marshalltown. Jane was united in marriage to John R. Greiner on December 27, 1941, in Bethany, MO. She was a homemaker. Jane instilled the value and importance of education in all her children. missed by six children: Teresa (Richard) Dee of Sioux Falls, SD, Janet (Bill) Miller of Lawrence, KS, Robert (Chris) Greiner of Plano, TX, John (Mary Ann) Greiner of Des Moines, IA, Julie (Tim) Gerzabek of Woodbury, CT, Connie (Emery) McRill of Woodbine, MD; 10 grandchildren: Katie (Ken) Goodwin, Anna (John) Van Gorp, Charity (Zane) Hoffelt, Susie (John) Fife, Virginia (Christopher) Rickford, Nathaniel Westfall, Brad (Michelle) Greiner, Brian (Ashley) Greiner, Andrew (Cait) Greiner, Robert (Dani) Greiner; 18 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; two sons: John Edward Greiner and John Robert Greiner; two grandchildren in infancy: Christina Dee and Paula Dee; two brothers: Al and Ora Adams; two sisters: Jean Schumacher and Frances Dyer; half-brother Dale Adams; and half-sister Marguerite Sindlinger.
