Marvin Earl Pilgrim, born August 24, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of nine. His parents were Marvin E. J. and Blanche R. Cheek Pilgrim and his brothers Patrick T., Ronald J., Christopher A. and Rodney Loren Pilgrim. There were many happy times spent with the brothers and their families.

Marvin graduated from Midwest City High School where he played baseball. He was an outstanding guard in basketball, receiving a scholarship from Oklahoma City University.

Marvin served in the National Guard and was called to active duty during the Cuban Crises in 1961.

Marvin married Anna Lou Armstrong December 29, 1961 in Gainesville, Texas. They had a son, Richard Allen, born August 8, 1965 in Oklahoma City. They moved to Arlington in 1969, where their daughter, Vicki Lee was born November 7, 1969.

Marvin operated Pilgrim's Cabinet Shop with his brother Ronnie, but retired in the late 1980's due to health reasons.

as not very talkative, but loved to have a good time with family and friends. He was respected and admired by those who knew him, including his knowledge of the cabinet business. He had the ability to solve problems, especially when it came to woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin; mother, Blanche and brother, Loren.

Survivors: His wife, Anna Lou Pilgrim; son, Richard A. Pilgrim and wife, Cathleen; daughter, Vicki L. Curtis and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Shawn M. Pilgrim and wife, Elizabeth, and Jeremy A. Maners; great-grandchild, Ryan A. Maners; brothers, Patrick and wife, Darlene, Ronald and wife, Evelyn, and Christopher.

The family will receive visitors at Marvin and Anna's home after the graveside services.
