John Freeman Cady, 80, of Blue Earth, MN, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Mayo Hospital in Mankato, MN.
John was born in Madelia, MN on October 16, 1937, the son of Frank W. and Vennie (Smith) Cady. He attended school in Madelia, MN. John served his country for 6 years in the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post #192 in Elmore, MN.
John was united in marriage to Gail Bauman on December 2, 1967, at Bethany Church in Ledyard, IA. He worked at Green Giant in Blue Earth, MN for 37 years before retiring in 2000. John enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling. He enjoyed making mission style furniture and spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Gail; daughters, Susan Cady of Mankato, MN and Patricia Cady of Algona, IA; sisters, Mae Pufpaff and Erna (Jake) Gunter; brothers-in-law, Mark Bauman and Rocky (Maria) Bauman; sister-in-law, Jill (Rick) Danielson; and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Vennie Cady; parents-in-law, William and Geneva Bauman; brothers, Howard Cady, Frank (Lorraine) Cady and Harry Cady; and brother-in-law Erwin Pufpaff.
