Mary Ann Meehan Mary Ann Meehan - Mary Ann Meehan, 78, of Elmwood, passed away at 5:40 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on September 24, 1939, in Peoria, to Cornelius I. and Mary (Hedrick) Vance. She is survived by her special friend, Bob Wilson; two daughters, Michelle Moke of Kansas City, MO, and Tina Metz of Grapevine, TX; two brothers, Dean Vance of Farmington, and Dennis (Pam) Vance of Grapevine, TX; one sister, Claudia Galbreath of Peoria; eight grandchildren, Christina (Jorge) Carlos, Craig Moke, Curtis (Natalie) Moke, Cara (Andrew) Parise, Nathan Boydston, Bradley Metz, Sarah Metz, and Joshua Herrera; nine great-grandsons, with the oldest being Jorge Carlos, Jr., USA National Champion of Boxing; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Banquet Hall. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Elmwood Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to B.Y.E.
