Georgie Mae Trussell

Georgie Mae Trussell, age 89 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Decherd on January 20, 1929 to the late Phillip Aaron and Betty West Williams. Georgie Mae graduated from Franklin County High School in Decherd. Before her retirement, she worked as a Bookkeeper for the Co-Op and S&T Auto. Georgie Mae was an excellent seamstress and Southern cook. Her family will remember her as sweet and caring, as one who put everyone else first, and for her love, especially of her sweet grandchildren. Georgie Mae was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decherd, where she was also a Sunday school teacher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Trussell; sister, Betty June Perry; and brother, Melvin Williams.
