Mike A. Napoli, 86, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Community Hospice of Texas.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Mike specifically requested that you consider a donation to the Save LaGrave Foundation, 805 CR 1170, Decatur, Texas 76234, so that Mike can continue to play a role in bringing professional baseball back to Fort Worth in a restored LaGrave Field. Mike loved baseball, the Fort Worth Cats and LaGrave Field. He retired from General Motors in 1987. He played professional Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Fort Worth Cats. He was drafted in the United States Army where he served for two years. The love of baseball continued in his golden years. what he shared with his daughters, "Don't grieve; long remember the good times. I will be with my Lord and Savior, family and friends in Heaven." He passed with peace and in no pain. Our dad's best legacy for his girls, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece and nephew is his faith in Christ and how he treated people. He always had a gift of making anyone he came in contact with truly feel special. You will be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his daughters, Tonya Napoli, Debra (Tom) Hodges and Cara (Cary) Mellema; grandchildren, Duayne Price, Tarah Price, Brittnay (Michael) Soriano, Kennon Hodges, Kierston (Ignacio) Lopez, Kolton Hodges and Brad (Lindsey) Edwards; great-grandchildren, Baileigh Soriano, Mia Soriano and NoraRae Lopez; niece, Christine Napoli; and nephew, Michael Napoli.
