Kathy Williams

Kathy Sue Williams, 61, of Baxter, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter, Iowa. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Kathy was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on April 18, 1956 to Charles and Janice (Willia) Hofer. She attended Baxter High School and graduated with the class of 1974. Kathy earned her CNA and worked at Baxter Healthcare Center for many years. Kathy was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ in Baxter. She loved spending time with her family and most especially enjoyed her grandkids. She also loved her dog baby girl, and gardening. She is survived by her children Johnny (Bonnie) Williams of Baxter, IA, Ryan (Brianna) Williams of Ankeny, IA, Ashley (Steve) Sapp of Ira, IA, and Becky Williams of Baxter, IA; grandchildren Jessica, Brandon, Robert, Stevie, Randie, Nikkie, Riley, and Jaxon; great-grandchildren Dylan, Sophia, Charles, Taylor; father Charles Hofer of Baxter, IA; brothers Jerry (Lorna) Hofer, and Roger Hofer; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
