LeRoy C. Strong, 76, of Dakota City, NE died Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his home in Dakota City. Funeral services will be 10:00 Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Dakota City United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 Wednesday, April 4, with family present 6:00 to 8:00 and a prayer service at 7:00, all at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Roy was born July 16, 1941 in Dakota City, NE, the son of Charles and Nellie (Albers) Strong. He joined the Air Force in 1960. Roy married in 1962 and had 3 children. Over the years he worked at Wincharger Corporation and for over 34 years at Prince Manufacturing until his retirement in 2004. Roy married Barbara Keyser in 1990. Together they remained in Dakota City. Roy was a member of Dakota City United Methodist Church. He loved hunting and fishing and teaching his grandchildren how to do both. He enjoyed his retirement and traveling.
