Ollie Mae Benson was born on October 20, 1926 in Brown, Texas to the late Morgan and Quintella Watson. A resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, she was a member of Bethlehem Temple Apostolic and True Vine Apostolic located in New Orleans.
After completing her high school education, Ollie went on to work various jobs to support her family.
Ollie was a very kind and loving woman, who loved to be around family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and her all-time favorite (special) dish to prepare was called the "Kush".
Ollie favorite hobbies was growing her own vegetables and working on the family farm. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ollie is preceded in death by her parents, sons; Leroy Benson, Ollie Lee Benson, Ronald Kilbert, Leon Benson, daughters; Rose Kilbert, Martha Kilbert, Lee Esther Kilbert. She leaves to cherish her memories sons; Billy Benson, Ray (Lizzy) Benson, Clifton (Dawn) Kilbert, daughters; Joann Benson, Mae (Jeff) Wise, Odessa (Roger) Banks, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
