Mr. Christopher M. "Chris" Haynes, 45, passed away Friday morning, April 6, 2018, in Muskegon. He was born August 1, 1972 in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Chris enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Laura; children: Christen (Kevin Clark) Rogers, Courtney (Marcus Jones) Rogers, Veronica (Chris) LaPorte; grandchildren: Landyn Link, Charlee Link, Brycen Link, Brendan LaPorte, Chloe Bissell, Ayden LaPorte. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Murphy; grandson, Brayden LaPorte; and his best friend, Randy Payne. A memorial service for Chris will be held later.
