Susan D. Clark, 60, of Waterloo died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes. She was born May 4, 1957 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Charles and Carol Bethke Shower. She graduated from Schaumburg High School in 1975 and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern University in December of 1978. Susan married Dennis Clark September 22, 1979 in Schaumburg. She served as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Army retiring with the rank of Captain. She taught nursing at Hawkeye Community College and was a Registered Nurse for Cedar Valley Hospice for 18 years. She was a member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church, TTT, PEO Chapter JP, and the Waterloo Cedar Falls Symphony Guild. Survivors include her husband Dennis of Waterloo, a son Brandt Clark of Atlanta, GA; a daughter Sarah (Jason Dobes) Clark of Waterloo; and sons Cayden Clark and Lucas Clark both at home. She is also survived by a brother Steven (Kim) Shower of IL, a brother Michael (Anna) Shower of Waterloo, a sister: Leann (Frank) Schmidt of IL, a brother Jack (Andy) Bethke of NY and her mother in law Lorraine Clark of Waterloo.
