Brenda L. Larkins

Brenda Lou Larkins, 78, of Seattle, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle. Brenda was born on December 7, 1939 in Columbus, OH to Charles and Margarete Gillespie (Koiner). She was the youngest of four girls. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. While attending Ohio State University, she met Carl Larkins. They married in 1959, and she began the important role wife and mother. After moving to Seattle, WA in 1961 and being a homemaker for her three sons for many years, she began her working life outside the home in sales positions and in real estate. She concluded her working career with Alaska Airlines in Phoenix, AZ and retired in Seattle, WA. Brenda was known for being an extremely kind and friendly person. She enjoyed being around family and friends as often as possible. She also spent time traveling, taking various classes, and participating in civic organizations. Brenda was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Hill, her first husband Carl Larkins and her second husband Tony Ferguson. Brenda will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. A service to celebrate the life of Brenda will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, 820 18th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122 with Deacon Joseph Connor officiating. There will be a reception at the church immediately following the service. Due to space limitations, a private, family only cremation internment will be held later that day at Evergreen-Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave. North, Seattle, WA 98133.
