Joseph William Greenwood,

Joseph William Greenwood, Jr. lost his battle with cancer at the age of 71. He passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Cancer Institute of Omaha surrounded by his friends and family. Joe was born on January 26, 1947 to Evelyn and Joe Greenwood of Council Bluffs. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Navy (Sea Bees) in the Spring of 1967, entering as a plumber by trade. Upon graduating, he worked for Barney Buttner Plumbing Company in Omaha, Neb., and after serving in the Navy, Joe worked for Bogardus Plumbing in Council Bluffs as a Master Plumber. He worked for the Plumbers Local Union in Omaha, Neb., and later ran his own plumbing business for many years in Council Bluffs. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting pheasant, quail, fishing trips and especially riding his motorcycle whenever possible. Above all, he loved to swing and dance the night away any place he could find country music. Survivors include his two children, Michelle L. (husband Ilya) Mazel of Lenexa, Kansas and Jeffrey J.
