Lastly, his career was completed when he became a member of Steam Fitters Local Union #420 which he was a member for nearly twenty years. For thirty one years he was a member of the Muhlenberg Township Parks and Recreation Board. He had been a daily dog walker at the Humane Society and Animal Rescue League until he found his trusted dachshund, Pinky. He was a member of the Chess Club at the Reading YMCA, a member of Bridge Club at the Reading Eagle Bridge Room. Harold had a "heart of gold' and would be kind to anyone. In his retirement years he rode and cared for horses at the stables in Maidencreek and Perry Townships Funeral services from Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. Temple on Friday at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Daniel Lute officiating. Internment in Laureldale Cemetery.
