Quinton Lamb Jr. of Ft. Worth passed away on April 28, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Travis Ave. Baptist Church on May 2, at 11:00 a.m.

Quinton was born on November 28, 1926 in Mobile, Alabama. He was the son of Quinton Lamb Sr. and Willie Louise (Coggin) Lamb. He spent his childhood in Tupelo, MS and Mobile, AL, and he attended high school in Montgomery, AL. Quinton graduated early in order to join the Navy, where he served aboard the U.S.S. Hector in Saipan during WWII. Later, he worked as the manager for data processing at Stripling's department store in Ft. Worth. He married Louise Gardner in 1969, and together they raised two children. Quinton loved to read about history and politics, and was an accomplished bridge player.
