Weslaco, TX - America V. Leal, 50, passed away to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at her residence.  She was born June 14, 1967 to Margarito & Maria R. Vela in Weslaco, TX.  America is preceded in death by her parents & 1 sister, Melva Vela.  She is survived by her daughter, Rocio Melva Leal of Weslaco, TX & 3 brothers, Abel Vela, Adan Vela, both of Weslaco, TX & Alfredo Vela of Edinburg, TX.  Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens.  Officiating will be Rev. Herman Mendez.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Jose Palomo, Jr., Ricardo Palomo, Gabriel Palomo, Ruben Palomo, Jr., Jorge Palomo & Josue Sordia.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
