LaVonne Marie Johnson

LaVonne Marie Johnson, 86, of Reinbeck, formerly of Hudson, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck. She was born May 12, 1931 in rural Dike, Iowa, daughter of Wilbert and Lillian Krumlinde Petersen. She married Bob C. Johnson July 29, 1950 at Fredsville Lutheran Church in rural Dike; he died February 10, 2017. LaVonne graduated from Dike High School and later attended Morningside College. She worked alongside her husband as an interior designer for Johnson Construction, Painting, Papering, and Home Decorating until she retired in 1995. LaVonne was a member of the Community Church of Hudson. She sang for many social, family, and public events. She was a member of the Hudson Music Makers and Metropolitan Chorale. LaVonne is survived by two daughters, Charmaine Kramer of Waterloo, IA and Cynthia "Cindy" (Bruce) Angle of Idaho Falls, ID; two sons, Curtis Johnson of Tama, IA and Christopher (Inga) Johnson of Bolivar, MO; four grandchildren, Sarah (Dave) Path, Katie (Ben) Seehafer, Emma and Mollie Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Arthur Seehafer, Devin and Grayson Path, and two sisters[more]
