Michael A. Lessing
MADISONMichael A. Lessing passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018.
He was born in Pittsburgh to the late Mark and Ruth (Birnbaum) Lessing. He graduated from Pittsburgh H.S., Class of '72 and then earned a degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
He married Sherry Cousin in Pittsburgh on July 7, 1977, moved to Madison, and together raised their loving daughter, Amy, married to Beau Thompson. Michael was a realtor with the First Weber Group.
Michael will be dearly missed by his wife of 41 years, Sherry and daughter Amy (Beau) Lessing Thompson; mother-in-law, Fay Josephson; and half sister-in-law Terrie (Alan) Myer. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Norman Cousin; and step-father-in-law, Nathan Josephson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd, Madison, followed by burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. A visitation will begin at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
