Roger R. Thren

Roger R. Thren, 76, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Wednesday in the Reading Hospital. Roger was predeceased by his wife, Jane (Parsons) Thren who passed away August of 1998. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ralph and Catherine Thren. Roger served in the U. S. Army 2nd Infantry. Roger was formerly a supervisor at Quadrant EPP for forty years. Roger enjoyed roller skating, playing bingo, he was an expert at mini golf, and was a collector of Americana Memorabilla. Survivors include three children, Dwayne Kochel and wife Susan Kochel and Devin Kochel both of Hamburg and Darlene Watts, wife of John Watts of Denver, PA. There is a brother, Robert Thren of VA. Also, two grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Kochel also of Hamburg. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 22nd at 11:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd. Temple. A viewing will take place on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
