James Awalt Bean

James Awalt Bean, age 79 of Belvidere, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Erlanger Health Systems in Chattanooga. He was born on September 30, 1938 to the late John James and Mary Glendon (Awalt) Bean. James served for thirteen years in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He later retired from AEDC, where he had been employed as an Instrument Technician. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Bean; son, James E. Bean; granddaughter, Chasity Wiseman; and brother, Jackie Bean. James is survived by his loving wife, Judy Ballard Bean of Belvidere; daughter, Sheila (Doyle) Wiseman of Estill Springs; son, Anthony "Tony" (Felicia) Bean of Altamont; brother, Frank (Janice) Bean of Tullahoma; step-children, Tammy (Robbie) Fergerson of Winchester, and Jesse Odom of Huntland; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Monday, May 28, 2018 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
