Kenneth J. F. Anderson passed away suddenly at Memorial Regional Hospital on May 30, 2018. Ken was born in 1933 and lived his early years in Red Wing, Minnesota. After serving in the Army during the Korean War (where he made sure "the enemy never got east of Seattle"), Ken entered the University of Minnesota on the G.I. Bill. He graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting, joining Ernst and Ernst in 1960 and obtaining his Certified Public Accountant designation. After leaving the CPA firm in 1966, he served as Controller of Doughboy Industries, Inc. and then joined Parke Davis & Co. (now Pfizer) as Controller of Fuller Laboratories in 1968. In 1975, Ken transferred with Parke Davis to Miami, to serve as Chief Financial Officer of its subsidiary All Orthopedic Appliances (AOA), later serving as CEO. In 1985, Ken left AOA and purchased a restaurant in downtown Fort Lauderdale. After selling the restaurant in 1988, Ken formed his own accounting firm, providing tax and accounting services to South Florida businesses and individuals for more than 25 years. lovingly remembered for his great intelligence, integrity, work ethic and jovial sense of humor by his family: Beverly Johnson Anderson, his wife of 60 years; children Kristin (Timothy) Hanlon of Macon, GA; Steven (Barbara) Anderson of Lake Worth, FL; Sharon (Andrew) Stanish of Hollywood, FL; grandchildren Kurt Hanlon, Emma Hanlon, Erika Stanish and Teresa Stanish; and his siblings' children Jerry (Sharon) Peterson, Jeff (Jill) Peterson, Marna Erickson, John (Diana) Erickson and their families. Ken was preceded in death by his father, John, mother, Agda Teresa, his sisters, Lillian and Rosella, and brother, Baby Joseph. There will be a viewing on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024. Burial service with full military honors on Monday, June 4, 2018, 10:00 am at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
