Joseph A. Porzio, age 49, of the Holiday City section of Berkeley Township died on Friday, June 1, 2018 at home. Born in Newark, he grew up in Irvington and lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Toms River 9 years ago.
Mr. Porzio worked as a landscaper for many years, most recently with Racioppi's Landscaping, Freehold. He Was a Kansas City Chiefs, New York Yankees and New York Rangers fan, and enjoyed reading the bible.
He is survived by his parents, Lester and Magdeline Porzio; his siblings, Les Porzio and his wife Sharon, and Paula Ludolph and her husband Joe; and his nieces and nephews, Courtney, Shawn, Joey, Thomas, Kristen, and Anthony; nad his good friend Patricia Carafa. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Porzio.
Cremation was private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4-6pm at the funeral home.
