Terry Steenberg, 76, of Burlington Iowa, went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born September 4, 1941 in Keokuk, Iowa he was the son of Estel and Carita (Gilpin) Steenberg. He married Carol McComas on August 8, 1973 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was a 1959 gradutate of Keokuk High School and attended Iowa State University and Carthage College. Terry was an insurance underwriter and retired in October 2006. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
He was an Iowa State sports fan. He enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with his friends and family. He had a great love for music and wrote and composed many pieces. He sang like an angel.
Survivors include his wife Carol Steenberg of Burlington; children Deron (Rhonda) Steenberg of Castle Rock, Colorado, Dayna (David) Acosta of Greeley, Colorado, Scot Meuler of Norwalk, Iowa and Blake (Debbe) Meuler of Wylie, Texas; six grandchildren, Jacob (Kayla) Meuler, Natalie Meuler, twins, Danielle and Daylyn Acosta, Nick Gauna and Jake Gauna; one great grandson Haydon Meuler and one great granddaughter ...[more]

He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial has been established for the donor choice.
According to his wishes cremation has been accorded and entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
